Search Practice
My search practice will cut across a variety of industries, but focus primarily on the Financial Services industry based on my background in banking, insurance and real estate. In addition, I have successfully completed board and executive searches in the following sectors: Consumer Packaged Goods, Technology/Telecom, Energy and Life Sciences. Diversity remains an area of my expertise, but as opposed to overseeing a practice, it will be embedded in all I do, and the same holds true for my Amrop Knightsbridge colleagues. What about Career Mapping and Talent Optimization Partners?
The last four years, since leaving Spencer Stuart, have been a fast, wonderful ride during which I completed my book, Career Mapping: Charting Your Course in the New World of Work, used it as a platform to deliver coaching and career management workshops, and provided recruitment and talent management consulting services to a number of notable corporate and individual clients. I also tested my media capabilities doing radio and television to promote the Career Mapping framework I so believe in.
The Career Mapping website will remain as a resource to support readers of the book; however, Talent Optimization Partners, LLC will become dormant. Why the move?
My reason for leaving executive search and Spencer Stuart was that I wanted to help organizations do more to harness their human capital potential, hence the formation of Talent Optimization Partners, LLC. I do believe individuals and organizations owe it to themselves and to one another to continually optimize their talent for maximum individual growth and development, and enhanced organizational performance and innovation. Doing all of that by myself and with only a few other people (and being self-funded) has been challenging, especially during this recent recession.
I decided to take a page out of my own book and reassess my competencies and the best role that optimizes them – executive search it is! I never stopped loving being a recruiter and have joined a firm that can leverage the full range of talent management competencies I posses. When I met the people at Knightsbridge, I knew I had found a home of like-minded people. We call it the “K Factor” which is that set of behaviors and characteristics that determines how and why we deliver a consistent level of expertise and counsel.
